Born and raised in Colorado, the beauty of God's creation and the Rocky Mountains are a part of my soul. The peaks, the geology, and the excitement of gold and silver spark my creativity. Polymer clay allows me to capture some of the looks, colors, and forms of nature. It is vibrant, malleable, and frequently full of surprises. Once baked, it is comfortably light weight and durable.
After more than 30 years as a physical therapist, I now have a new focus for my manual skills. Working with polymer clay is a lot like working on the soft tissues of the body. Where I previously used touch to alleviate pain, I now use touch to move, shape, stretch, and form clay. Although I miss working as a PT, it is exciting to share the next phase of my life's journey through my art.
