I fell in love with clay 17 years ago when I signed up for a wheel throwing class for beginners. It has since become a part of my soul. I find it fun, therapeutic, and very useful. I especially enjoy making functional pieces that become a part of someone's life in a routine way, but also looks and feels like art. That brings me joy.
I grew up on a farm in Nebraska with eight siblings, all of us attending the same country school. I met my husband in high school and we lived an exciting, adventurous life in the Air Force for 22 years. We retired to Colorado because there really is no better place. We live a simple life, spending time with family, playing with our grandchildren, watching hockey, and gardening.
