Shadow Mountain Gallery, an artists’ owned gallery, was founded in 1990 and offers the member artists a platform to showcase and sell their work while gaining recognition from a broad audience of visitors to the Gallery . For the first five years, Shadow Mountain Gallery was located by the historic yellow barn in Conifer, Co. In July 1995, the Gallery relocated to the Adobe Creek Artists Center on Highway 74 in Kittredge, Colorado near Evergreen. Our new home, as of May 1, 2004, is just two miles up the road in Downtown Evergreen. Shadow Mountain Gallery is owned and operated by a core group of artists who create art in a variety of media.
SMG has been a destination for art lovers coming to the mountains looking to discover the finest creations by local artists since 1990. Located in downtown Evergreen, CO. SMG is a treasure trove of art from local Colorado artists.
If you’ve ever wondered what drives an artist’s passion to work in a specific medium, come by any day of the week and talk to the artists at SMG. SMG artists take turns staffing the gallery and visitors are always in for a treat as artists freely share stories about what inspired an eye-catching work of art or a series of special pieces.
