Zoe Kowalchuk, artist, resides in Evergreen, Colorado. She moved here from Chicago over 45 years ago and has embraced mountain living. The brilliance of the sun, clarity of the blue sky, and abundance of color led her to the art of glass, which can reflect and transmit this light. She discovered the medium of glass over 45 years ago and has continued to investigate its many forms including blown and fused glass. Among the local talented teachers, Mike Penfound, Barbara Saul, she has also studied with Milo Townsend, Dan Fenton, Narcissus Quagliata, Ed Schmidt, Michael Dupille and others. At the present time Zoe is joyfully chasing the concept of beings of light and how to portray them in glass.
