About the artist

Sandra's passion for nature and travel photography comes as a culmination of a lifelong penchant for discovery.  As a child growing up in Michigan she would take every opportunity to explore her neighborhood, town, and later her state. This gradually blossomed into a broader exploration of other countries and continents. Throughout this exploration Sandra has maintained an especial appreciation for natural surroundings, and this has found its way into her photography.  From work in macro through wide landscape photography, Sandra concentrates on relating the beauty she sees to the viewer in order to kindle a desire to preserve our natural world.  Lines that draw the eye into and through a picture, along with the beauty of natural light, are the tools which she uses to capture attention and accomplish this task...whether in the Amazon jungle or at her local state park.

Sandra's photographs are taken with 35mm format and are available either framed or unframed (which includes mounting and matting). Materials used for matting and mounting are acid-free.  These original photographs are available in 3 sizes:  8" x 12", 11"x 14", and 16"x20" (check if larger size is desired).
