About the artist
Gayle started painting with watercolors in 1980 while living in Wilton, Connecticut, where I had the opportunity of taking workshops in Port Clyde and Monhecan Island in Maine from well known artists from all over the U.S. who are drawn there by the scenic beauty of New England. I've taken workshops with Don Stone, Judi Betts, George Sutherland and Claude Croney.
Gayle was a member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists where she took classes from Robert Reid and Robert Franco. She was also a member of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists in Ridgefield, Connecticut where she participated in several juried shows. Gayle also exhibited in various one artist and group shows around Fairfield
County, Connecticut. Workshops in Colorado have been with Raleigh Kinney and Frank Francese.
Gayle is currently a member of the Shadow Mountain Gallery Co-Op and exhibit in our gallery in Evergreen, and the Grand Lake Gallery in Grand Lake, Colorado.
