On April 1, 2004 the Evergreen Art Galleries Association launched "1st Thursday Gallery Nights", an event that has fast become a tradition in Evergreen and the surrounding mountain communities. Each last Friday of the month year-round crowds of enthusiastic gallery-goers make the rounds of the seven participating galleries 5 - 8 pm to enjoy art, refreshments and changing special events such as the opening of a new show, music, artist demos, and drawings for door prizes. The participating galleries include the Evergreen Arts Center, Latino Arts, Shadow Mountain Gallery, Silver Arrow Gallery, The Evergreen Gallery, Stoneheart Gallery and Timberline Gallery.

A handy "Last Firday Gallery Nights" card with map and guide is available at each gallery, the Evergreen Chamber and numerous businesses throughout the area. Pick one up, join with friends and plan an artful evening in Evergreen, perhaps combining the gallery tour with dining at a favorite restaurant. Visit a few galleries each last Friday to enjoy art and light refreshments, meet artists and carry on the "Last Friday Gallery Nights" tradition in the mountain community.
